Let's get together and fuse! We will demonstrate a new topic or technique each week and then you will have time to create, ask questions, and get inspired! This is a great opportunity for you to get together with fun, creative people and work on something you enjoy! You are not required to attend each one; you pick and choose the ones you would like to attend. For each class, we will supply some materials, and you supply some materials. Please call ahead to register!

March 8 – Mood Lamps

Create a beautiful mood lamps using a ceramic mold. You will learn to cut glass to fit the mold as well as create a base for the lamp. We will talk about what slumping glass is and how it works. You will need to supply your glass and we will supply the cord and bulb for your lamp as well as, stringers, noodles, frit, etc.

March 22 – Picture Frames / Wall Mirrors

Learn how to make gorgeous fused glass picture frames. The same technique can also be used to create wall mirrors! We will show you how to make both. This technique can be done in both a tack fuse or a full fuse. We will also discuss the difference between these two. You will need to supply your glass and we will supply the backing for your frame , stringers, noodles, frit, etc.

April 5 – Windchimes

Its should be starting to warm up now, so time to make some fun wind chimes to listen to when you’re out in the yard. You’ll be making both the top ‘frame’ and the chimes out of fused glass. This is a great project to use up your smaller pieces of scrap glass, so if you have any (and really, who doesn’t?), bring them along! Start thinking of pattern ideas, and we will have some available as well. This will be a two-part project. Join us the following week to learn how to drill holes and put the wind chimes together using beading wire, decorative beads and crimp beads.

April 19 – Wall Sticks

Create one of a kind, contemporary wall hangings. Wall sticks are long narrow pieces of fused glass that are hung on the will also wall in groupings. We show you how to mount your pieces on the wall without even seeing the mounting hardware. You will need to supply your base glass and we will supply accent glass, stringers, noodles, frit, etc.

May 3 – Clocks

Join us for fusing club to make a fused glass clock. You will learn a great way to use up some of your scrap glass while combining art and function. You supply all the glass for your clock and we will supply the clock kit. Start thinking of designs now! We will be doing a dimensional fuse for this project. Then, join us on the following time to learn how to drill a hole in your clock for the clock hardware.
