3/28-29, Lead Came Class
Date: Saturday and Sunday, March 28th-29th: Sat 10-4pm, Sun. 12:30-4pm
Must have stained glass experience-including cutting and soldering
Have you always wanted to expand your stained glass knowledge? Now is your chance to build a panel using strips of lead to assemble a project in less time than the copper foil technique. This picture is just an example, not the pattern you will make.
In this class, you will work with an 8x10” pattern and build it using lead came. You will tack solder the joints and be ready to put hangers on and clean it up. Depending on how fast you work, you may not need to come in on Sunday.
Cost includes pattern, lead came, putty, and whiting. You will need to purchase the glass.
Bring: glasses, glass cutting tools, and soldering equipment, including the chemicals used, patina, and polish. No shorts or open-toed shoes.
Teacher: Judy Shumway
